Talking to several friends and family lately, many are leaving social media because they simply can no longer deal with the daily barrage of unpleasantness that comes across their newsfeed. I don't blame them, I see it, too. It is very discouraging. We all seek a place of peace and contentment.
Living an enchanted life doesn't mean we should live in castle (but don't we all want to!) or live in a land of magic like Middle Earth, Narnia, or Xanth. Living an enchanted life does, however, involve looking for magic in places we least expect it. Walking in a park and a light breeze blows against you just as you were beginning to feel heat from exertion; a butterfly alighting on your shoulder as you stand admiring a flower; being delightfully surprised when your recipe made in your new Instant Pot comes out better than perfect. These are small things, and ones we a likely to forget in an hour, or the next day, and certainly by next month.
Find something each day that makes you giddy, or at least makes you smile unexpectedly. Watch a silly video on Youtube, sing and dance around the house when you're home alone. Make your own kind of magic.
